New vs Old Tools

The thing is, just because we have new tech doesn’t mean the old tech is automatically obsolete and will inevitably disappear.

We still have live theater despite film. Concerts despite recorded audio and synthesized music. Printed books despite audio-video media and e-books. Speech despite writing. And there will still be handwritten text despite computers.

New tech adds new possibilities. It does not and should not destroy existing ones.
